As a comparison Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code has 170,000 words. Practically all of the stories in the series are novel length, with some, like the first one (Chronicles Of An Academic Predator) having close to 300,000 words. He's since written tons of new entries and the latest is situated around the year 2000. I highly recommend reading at least the first two stories in the series, Chronicles Of An Academic Predator and 1968, since like in Bridgemont the stories and the characters are fresh and sizzling hot in the beginning. In the Chronicles Of An Academic Predator series he's following real world events as well, starting from 1962. I mean Arbour has obviously done a massive job creating and recreating the world events but for a reader it's hard to stay interested if things just move on without any true structure you normally have in a novel. Especially since I didn't really connect with the historical aspects of the story either. I found many of his love interests super boring and that totally made reading difficult. R58, oh yes, there are only that many ways you can have one man have sex with other men.

It's positioned as a true story, but was hot enough to actually develop a Yahoo group to discuss it.Ĭurrent favorite is called Little White Pills. Mine was an old series called Fraternity Memoirs about a guy from Brooklyn who goes away to college and falls for his preppy frat brother while trying to deny the fact that he's gay. Many are surprisingly well written given the subject matter.
